Thyroid Disease Management

You Have Options

According to several major studies, up to 20% of patients with thyroid disease cannot adequately convert the medication levothyroxine (brand name Synthroid, et al) into the active form of thyroid hormone, called triiodothyronine, or T3. What this means is that tens of millions of people in the United States are taking levothyroxine medication and are not feeling well. In many cases, they feel no better—or even worse—than they did before they started the medication.

Fortunately, studies have clearly shown that using thyroid medication that contains T3 can quickly and easily reduce symptoms of thyroid disease, symptoms that include feeling tired, feeling cold, dry skin, dry hair, slow metabolism, weight gain, hair loss, depression, constipation, and other debilitating symptoms.

Feel Like Yourself Again

Dr. Stracks is an expert in using these T3 medications, including Natural Desiccated Thyroid, to help you feel yourself again when you need to take thyroid medication.

Rather than relying on TSH to guide medication dosing, he looks closely at a variety of lab values, including T3, T4, Reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies. Those levels, plus frequent reports on how you are feeling, help him determine the optimal medication at the optimal dose to get you feeling back to your optimal self.

“I had been extremely tired, so my general doctor gave me the name of Dr. Stracks. I went to him and have never been so informed about my thyroid issues. He went over several things that traditional doctors do not test when it comes to thyroid. He then did these tests for me and voila . . . the problem I had been dealing with was finally discovered. I am under the correct treatment now, and could not be happier with my care.”
